In this day and age of Internet scammers, spoofers, hackers and phishers, CLC Technology has this communication policy:

Once you are a registered user of CLC Technology, and you have received our initial emails that establish you as a registered user, we will never send you any communication asking that you again give us your private information. Do not ever respond to any communication that may appear to be from CLC Technology that asks you to resubmit the personal information you provided to us upon your initial registration.

If you should ever receive any type of correspondence that appears to be from CLC Technology, that asks you to provide your personal information, please immediately forward that correspondence to us.

Terminology
Within this Privacy Statement we may use the terms “site”, “web site”, “web application” and “software”. All of these terms are interchangeable and all of them apply to our public web site and our software web application that is accessed by a user name and password.


INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
Registration
In order to use our software you must first complete the registration form and be provided with a user name and password. During registration you are required to give contact information, such as name, address and email address. We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have either expressed interest, or are paying for, and to facilitate your purchasing our services.

You may have the option to provide additional information and we encourage you to submit this information so we can provide you with a more personalized experience on our site.

CLC Technology is the sole owner of the registration information collected on our sites. CLC Technology collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our web site and within our web application..

New Subscriptions and Application Forms
If you subscribe to a product or service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information, including your name, address, phone number, credit card number and email address, and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).

We use this information for billing purposes and to complete subscription requests. If we have trouble processing an initial subscription or a monthly billing, we will use this information to contact you.

Social Security Numbers
We never require your social security number to provide services to you on our site.

Uses of Information
We use your information for these purposes: (1) As a paying customer, or Account Holder, we use your information to bill your charge card, to create a Registered User profile and for contacting you for Customer Support. (2) As a non-paying invited guest or Account Member, we use your information to create a Registered User profile and for contacting you for Customer Support. For all Registered Users non-personally identifying information is used by our security module to verify who you are, what is your role within our security is, and what your access rights are.


COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE SITE
Special Offers and Updates
We will occasionally send you our newsletters and information on our products, services, special deals, and promotions. You can sign up for these emails from us on our public web site. If you have signed up, out of respect for your privacy, we present the option not to receive these types of communications at the bottom of each email. Please see the “Choice and Opt-out.”

Newsletters

Service-related Announcements
We will send you strictly customer service related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our web application service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. You may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.

Customer Service
Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone, in accordance with your wishes.

Profile
Cookies are only used to identify the currently logged in user for access to our site, and are not used for any other tracking, data collection or reporting purpose. We do not use tracking images, or any type of tracking device within our web application to collect user information that could be used to provide you with improved site content, tailored promotions or marketing programs. We do use tracking software on our public web site for the purpose of collecting information about which web pages are most visited. Our only Profiling of you after you log into our web application with your user name and password is in our Log Files (see below), your Registered User data and to identify you through the cookie for access to our site. Once you are logged in, our software’s security layer provides extensive security.

Enhancement of Profile Information
We do not purchase marketing data from third parties and add it to our existing user database. You will receive nothing from us except our newsletters and information on our products, services, special deals, and promotions and customer service notifications. We do not market products other than our own through our Registered User database.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We do not share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners.

Personally identifiable information
We do not share Personally Identifiable Information with Third Parties. We do not share your profile or personal information with other third parties.

Agents
We use an outside credit card processing company to process monthly subscriptions charged to a credit card. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

Service Providers
We do not use other third parties to provide services on our site. Any third party link that we might offer would be a link on our site that takes you away from our site, to a web page where the third party service would be offered. You would be automatically logged off of our servers when you click the third party link.

Legal Disclaimer
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on CLC Technology.

Choice/Opt-out
We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for our email newsletters and information on our products, services, special deals, and promotions. All email newsletters and emails that are not a customer service notice will have a link at the bottom of the email allowing you to remove your name and email address from the email database.

Log Files
We gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes your Registered User number, internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, date and time stamp, and click stream data.

We do link this automatically-collected data, which does identify individual users by their Registered User number, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site.

Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

We use session ID cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser.

If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some areas of our site may be limited.

Clear Gif's (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
Within our public web site or web application software, we do not employ a software technology called clear gif's (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that might help us better manage content by informing us what content is effective. We may use clear gif's to manage page layout and design, but not for tracking.

Third Party Advertisers
CLC Technology does not allow advertising within any of our paid subscription web services. If we were to offer a free service to a particular market we may allow advertising on that service.

Links to Other Sites
This web site and the CLC Technology web application may contain links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by CLC Technology. Please be aware that we, CLC Technology are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites

We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Co-Branded Sites
We may have links to co-branded sites. These links take you to a web page that we share with a third party vendor. You will be notified when you click on the link for the co-branded web page that you are leaving CLC Technology. In most cases we have a financial relationship with this vendor. The co-branded page exists to tell our vendor that you have come from our site, so they can track our referrals. From the time you click on the link that takes you to the co-branded web page you will be automatically logged off of our site. You will not carry forward from our site to a co-branded web page any information from CLC Technology. Any information that you willfully divulge at the third party site, such as making an on line purchase, is not under the control of CLC Technology. Bulletin Boards/Chat Rooms
If you use a discussion forum, bulletin board or chat room on this site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages if your email is exposed. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums or within our web application. Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may take the following actions:

There are three types of Registered Users at CLC Technology: Account Holders, General Members and Privileged Members

Account Holders are Registered users who are paying a fee for a service, or have through the site design Administrative access. For information changes, or you no longer desire our service, please login to your account and click on Account Management, where you can select the appropriate action, or you may contact us by telephone.

General Members are non-paying members who have been invited into a site by an Account Holder. As a non-paying member, you can choose to stop using our service without any further action required.

Privileged Members are also non-paying members who have been invited into a site by an Account Holder but have additional rights and privileges over General Members. As a non-paying member, you can choose to stop using our service without any further action required.

Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). The SSL (secure socket layer) protocol is the web standard for encrypting communications between users and web sites. Data sent via an SSL connection is protected by encryption, a mechanism that prevents eavesdropping and tampering with any transmitted data. SSL provides businesses and consumers with the confidence that private data sent to a web site, such as credit card numbers, are kept confidential.
